We here at the Events Committee bring colour and joy into SIMSREE.
From the flagship event – Simerations to the Gujarati Garba Night and the Annual House Cup – we bring it all to town! We strive to get the best possible events to campus, for our peers to enjoy!
The events we put up help students (and the faculty) to get their brains out of their textbooks and their dozy faces into the sun. Not to mention, this brings them back to their lectures with better and fresher minds.
The Simerations Fest is something all students at SIMSREE look forward to. It’s a 3 day extravaganza with so much fun being brought to the table! From the grandeur and classy feeling it thrives on, to the wonderful events put up in the fest itself – Simerations stands out for a new reason every year, whether it’s Sports, Management or Cultural events!
After this vicious display of strength, skill and stamina, the students gear up later in the year for the Garba Night. Wearing traditional outfits and their smiles, Garba Night has students showing off the Desi culture with friends, teachers and guests all through.
The House Cup would NOT be the same without us. The event brings guys and gals out to the tracks, putting on their sneakers and shorts after a tiring semester. And the cut throat competition to win various events makes everything oh so interesting!!
We here at the Events Committee don’t claim to bring all the fun to these parties, but you have to remember, that without us – there’d be no party.

The House Cup, SIMSREE’s premier sports event, unfolded over three dynamic days from December 22nd to 24th,
2023, across the campus and Priyadarshini Park. With a diverse range of indoor and outdoor sports, the event
brought together participants from senior and junior batches, competing passionately across six houses for
the coveted House Cup.
The action-packed days featured a multitude of sports, from strategic chess and BGMI to adrenaline-pumping
races, football, and cricket. The electrifying atmosphere and enthusiastic cheers created lasting memories,
culminating in the Junior Team – MMS-3 winning the House Cup. The subsequent January 8th prize distribution
ceremony celebrated the spirit of unity and sportsmanship, solidifying the event’s place as a memorable
showcase of SIMSREE’s vibrant sporting culture.

The 3-day flagship event of Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research and Entrepreneurship
Education (SIMSREE), known as Simerations’24, has been a Vibrant Blend of Management, Sports, and Culture,
unfolded from February 23rd to 25th, 2024, within the lively atmosphere of the SIMSREE campus. This year’s
extravaganza consisted a diverse array of activities, comprising 10 management events, 7 sports events, and
6 cultural events, drawing an enthusiastic participation from students eager to showcase their analytical,
observational, athletic, and creative prowess.
DAY 1:
Commencing at 9:00 AM, Day 1 saw the commencement of several events including volleyball, Bid 2 Win, and
Bizsquad, all running concurrently, eliciting high levels of excitement and enjoyment from the participating
students. Afternoon sessions featured intellectually stimulating engagements such as Moot Court, Jeopardy,
and Splash, which garnered substantial participation and fervor. The evening session witnessed a melodious
rendition of singing followed by an electrifying performance by a surprise band, captivating the audience
with its sheer brilliance.
DAY 2:
Day 2 kicked off with the intriguing cryptic clue, a crime case-solving event, alongside management
competitions including Avistrot, Business Frenzy, and Markenesium, challenging participants’ entrepreneurial
acumen and strategic thinking. The day gained momentum with the popular sports events—Neon Table Tennis,
Human Foosball, FIFA, and Human Pool—eliciting exuberant participation and sheer enjoyment from the
students. The day culminated with a visually captivating dance competition followed by a rib-tickling
performance by Improv Group Bombay Harold, providing a much-needed dose of laughter and stress relief.
DAY 3:
The grand finale of Simerations’24 witnessed the eagerly anticipated Neon Cricket, Just-A Minute, Finomania,
Diplomat, and Baywatch, captivating the audience with their blend of excitement and intellectual challenge.
The fashion show event, Aquafilmia, emerged as a major highlight, receiving an overwhelmingly enthusiastic
response from the audience. The festivities
concluded on a high note with the DJ night, where students joyously danced away, marking the culmination of
an unforgettable event.
In retrospect, Simerations’24 emerged as a resounding success, not only in terms of its extensive reach and
participation but also for the sheer quality and diversity of events it offered. With a plethora of
additional events and innovative concepts, Simerations has firmly established itself as a festival
synonymous with both fun and learning, epitomizing its tagline, ‘WE CREATE MEMORIES’.
SIMSREE’s inaugural football tournament, FUTSAL 2023, took place successfully on November 18, 2023, at
Vasant Dada Patil Turf in Mumbai. The event spanned approximately six hours and was meticulously organized
and executed by the Events Committee. Six teams, each comprising seven players, competed for the top
position in the tournament.
The competition commenced with league matches, resulting in each team playing against the remaining five,
bringing the total league match count to 15. Each match lasted 12 minutes, divided into a 5-minute first
half, a 2-minute break, and a 5-minute second half. Referees and six players from each team, with one player
designated as a rolling substitute, took the field for each match. The committee ensured proper
scorekeeping, and a first aid kit was readily available in case of any injuries.
Post-match, the winning team received a golden medal, while the runner-up team was awarded a silver medal by
the chairpersons, along with a cash prize of Rs. 3000. The event garnered positive feedback from
participants, who expressed their appreciation for the well-executed tournament.
The Annual Garba event for the year 2023 was held successfully on 20th October, 2023, at the SIMSREE Cafeteria. The event witnessed active participation of students who thoroughly enjoyed the festivities.
This vibrant and culturally rich event lasted for around three and a half hours. The event was graced by the presence of our honourable Director, Dr. Dhure Sir, and Dr.Pawaskar Sir, along with the entire junior as well as senior batch of MMS course along with the Executive MBA students of SIMSREE.
The event began with the ceremonial Aarti of Goddess Durga, led by our Director, Pawaskar Sir, Chairpersons, General Secretaries, and the Events Committee.
To keep the energy and enthusiasm high, awards for best dancer and best costumes were also distributed to the students. To conclude the event on a spiritual note, Prashad was distributed, marking the end of a successful Annual Garba Night 2023.
Beneath the radiant lights of the SIMSREE Auditorium, the 40th Foundation Day took place on October 4, 2023.
The day created a fabric of memories that lingered in the air. Upon commencement, the event welcomed our
respected Director, faculty, and various committees that make up the very essence of SIMSREE.
The program featured insightful speeches from the Honourable Director, faculty members, along with
Chairpersons and General Secretaries which was then followed by a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony, and the
recognition of committee members. Captivating performances by students added an enchanting touch, leaving
lasting memories. Gratitude extends to the organizers for crafting a celebration that echoed dedication and
triumph, making the 40th Foundation Day a memorable milestone in SIMSREE’s history
